First all that rain, Now the heat.

Well, it is really summer here in Florida. We have been in the upper 90's for about 2 weeks now. Nevertheless, I have played golf for the past 5 days in a row. I know, you are saying, "Tough". Hey, it's hot out there. You can't even drink beer on the course when it's that hot. Yesterday I probably drank two gallons of water. I did learn a new trick though, I keep a couple of towels on ice in my cooler. When wrapped around the neck, they make great whole body chillers. Yesterday I played in the JNGA (Jax Navy Golf Association) Championship Tournament. During the course of the round I made two really bad shots that ended up costing me more than 6 strokes, and probably the championship. Ended up fifth. Golf is an amazing game. Even a little mistake can end up costing you several strokes. Always remember the Universal Golf Tip (UGT) : Keep Your Head DOWN!!!

June 9. Mowed the lawn this morning. Nice to get that out of the way before it gets too hot. Came back in had breakfast and spent some time on my email. Now it is hot outside and I am going to go back out and edge the driveway and curb. It really needs it. Have to do some work because nobody wants to play golf. Got a message from Bob that they are now issuing the new id cards and stickers for the base. This will be a big improvement from the current annual placard type pass. They issue a CAC card and stickers for the car and they are good for four years.
While typing this I have been listening to the wait music playing at Hertz. I have been trying to get a refund for a rental car reservation that I had to cancel for the past couple of weeks. I cancelled a rental when my plane had to be delayed because of weather. They charged me $295.15 anyway! Finally someone has answered the phone and has told me that they will process a refund of the charge. That makes my day!

I have created a blog. Imagine that! I will be able to reflect on my most innermost thoughts and broadcast them to the world. That is frightening. But, who cares? I have political opinions and personal opinions. I have likes and dislikes. I want to write an autobiography. I want to break 80 in my golf game. Maybe someone out there cares and will listen to my rants and respond or give me advice. I do listen to advice, but not from the dreaded " Conservatives ", as defined by Rush and associates. Well, I'm rambling and revealing too much. More anther time.
